MOUNT ISLAND The competition for the Best Novello Oil has been announced, open to all producers of extra virgin olive oil obtained from olives produced in the municipalities of Monte Isola, Marone, Pisogne, Sale Marasino and Sulzano (members of the National Oil City Association). Participants must deliver a half-litre sample of oil to the municipal oil mill of Monte Isola or to the Sebino Bresciano Mountain Community by 12:00 on 14 November.

BIENNO The Amici di Caterina association collects Christmas balls of various sizes, made of knit, crochet, patchwork or other, to display them during the Christmas markets and sell them in favor of fundraising for the new headquarters of the Arcobaleno Cooperative. BRESCIA The Fondazione Comunità Bresciana announces a contest of unpublished poetry in the Brescian dialect on the occasion of the patronal feast of Saints Faustino and Giovita. The poems must be sent to the headquarters of the Foundation, Vicolo San Giuseppe 5, 25122 Brescia by 13 December.
The Comunità Montana intends to award prizes for specialist degree theses concerning the Camunian territory.
