The Ahmadiyya Islamic Jama’at Community strengthens its relations with its caliph – Malijet

From December 24 to 26, 2022, the Jama’at Islamic Ahmadiyya community of Mali held its 14th edition of the annual national conference called Jalsa Salana on the theme: “The relationship with the Caliph” at Hadiqatul-Mahdi of Koulikoro. The meeting brought together 7150 participants from 311 localities in the interior of the country and the sub-region. The ceremony was presided over by the Resident Representative of the Ahmadiyya Islamic Jama’at in Mali, Jaffar Ahmed Butt.

For three days, this meeting was peppered with presentations, information, video projections, stories of Islam and the life of its noble prophet, Mohammad (peace and salvation be upon him), all the resources necessary to good spiritual formation. After the words of welcome of the president of the organizing committee and no less the missionary of the Koulikoro region, Mamadou Daou, focused on messages of encouragement from the participants and advice on the perpetual quest for knowledge. According to him, the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet, Mohammad (peace be upon him) emphasize the acquisition of knowledge as a binding duty of a Muslim. In his speech, the Resident Representative of Jama’at Islamic Ahmadiyya in Mali, Jaffar Ahmed Butt, recalled that this 14th edition of the annual conference made it possible to discuss eleven sub-themes with the participants in order to increase their love of Allah and to increase their love of the holy prophet Mohamed (peace and salvation be upon him). All things which, according to him, will allow the participants to practice the commandments of Allah and the sunnas of the prophet Mohamed (PSL). According to him, this annual conference aims to reform the participants through education and training to follow the commandments of Islam. ” Our aim is to reform people to show them that as a devotee, as a believer, it is not the name only, but following the 700 commandments of the holy Quran and taking the holy prophet Mohammad as model » ; he explained. Before adding that the entire community of Jama’at Islamic Ahmadiyya must follow a single spiritual guide whose object of this conference is to strengthen relations with the latter (caliph). Remember that the primary purpose of this convention is to allow each participant to experience religious benefits and improve their religious knowledge. It is also a question for the participants of favoring their mutual introduction and of reinforcing the fraternal bonds within this community. According to him, the Jalsa has many advantages for the participants. On this occasion, the members must take advantage to renew their faith and their personal spirituality, to meet and establish friendships with other members of the community. It is also about welcoming new members into the fold of the community and remembering those who died in the previous year and praying for them.
