Summer Game Fest: The Last of Us Part I isn’t the big surprise…

On the program of the Daily, the Summer Game Fest, with all the information that should not be missed, the surprise of the Summer Game Fest is not what you thought and the film Dragon Ball Super arrives today at the Japan.

The Summer Game Fest, to drink and eat

The Summer Game Fest is the event that is supposed to replace E3, which was largely absent this year. Geoff Keighley had free rein to present us with more than thirty games, this Thursday, June 9th. The evening opened with street fighter 6, revealing the gameplay of Guile. The show continued on the theme of space with Aliens: Dark Descent, an isometric shooting game, offering us a first trailer in CGI, but very little gameplay. The title is due next year on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. In front of him sat The Callisto Protocolthe spiritual sequel to Dead Space, with gameplay reminiscent of the best hours of Visceral Games production. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) also offered a gameplay video on an offshore oil station, with the realistic rendering of its new engine. The game is slated for October 28 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, ONE, and PC. The highlight of the show was of course The Last of Us Part I, with Neil Druckmann having made the trip on stage to reveal some announcements, in particular on the adaptation in series of HBO. Unfortunately, the surprise of the title was spoiled by a leak a few hours before.

The Last of Us is not the surprise of the Summer Game Fest

Because of the leak, The Last of Us Part I was not the real surprise of this Summer Game Fest, but The Plucky Squire, a game that will put us in control of Jot, a young squire full of courage, hero of a children’s book. The game seems to offer several types of gameplay, in a beautiful artistic direction. We were able to see fairly classic sequences, Zelda style, but also some puzzle game passages, embellished with a sequence of versus fighting against a kind of skunk. The game caused a sensation on social networks thanks to its colorful aspect and its mechanics. Seeing the trailer, we got some reminiscences of the It Takes Twothe GOTY 2021. The title is scheduled for next year, on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch and PC.

Dragon Ball Super returns to theaters today!

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the next movie from Goku and company. It was released on June 11 in Japan, and as of this writing, June 10 at 5 p.m. is June 11 (it takes a bit of mental exercise, we know). The plot takes place after the Dragon Ball Super arc currently in progress, but before the last Tenkaichi Budokai at the end of volume 42 of Dragon Ball. The Red Ribbon army will make a comeback, having even created the ultimate cyborgs: Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. They proclaim themselves the “Super Heroes”, hence the name of the film and decide to launch an attack against Gohan and Piccolo. Akira Toriyama has been heavily involved in this new film, from story development to character design. The film made the choice of a 3D animation which mixed the fans. It will be released in French theaters this summer, but for the moment we don’t have a precise date.
