Seth Gueko, competitions, exhibitions … What awaits you at the tattoo convention, in Lille

She already signs her 8th edition. The International Lille Tattoo Convention will take place at Big palace of February 3 to 5, 2023. And the least we can say is that the program of the weekend promises to be busy. This is what awaits you there.

Spirituality and mysticism on the program this year

These are close to 400 national and international tattoo artists who will meet for this weekend, to engrave on your skin, your worst or your best ideas. “All currents will be represented, with a particular focus on the mystical tattoo” announces the organization. This is also the theme of this year: spirituality, mysticism, magic and ancestral rituals.

And it will be felt in particular on the side of the creators present on site:

• Margaux’s revelations – Trained in art therapy and psychoanalysis, Margaux Ribeaucourt uses the tarot as a tool to perfect self-knowledge, support her decisions, her choices, analyze her wounds, find her life path, embark on a path of healing and of awakening.
• Reflex’O Minerals – in Auchy-Lez-Orchies Myriam and Sylvie Wibaux have created a space of relaxation and harmony like no other. Called Reflex’O Minéraux, it combines plantar reflexology, massages, minerals and floral elixirs for the well-being of the whole body.
• Jewelery – is the evocative name of the shop created by Mathilde Chailloux in 2020. It abounds with original products, on the theme of beliefs such as charms, humorous candles, crystal balls, Tibetan singing bowls and many other finds.

DJ sets, showcases, contests…

In terms of entertainment, there is also a lot of variety, including dance, magic and music shows. And since we are talking about music, it is the tattooed rapper Seth Gueko who will provide a showcase from Friday evening, at 8 p.m. And from 5 p.m. on Saturday, a DJ set will be given by First Mike, an all-terrain musician.

As every year, a jury of emblematic tattoo artists walks the aisles of the convention to elect the tattoo of the day, saluting a style, a technique, as well as the special Best of Day prize, its favorite. Something new this year: The convention honors emerging talent. She created New Talents, a prize dedicated to apprentices.

On the exhibition side, the convention devotes three exhibitions to symbols, shapes and designs “for an inspiring immersion in urban cultures”, details the organization of the event.
