Nine intense days of cinema with the “Terni Film Festival” of the artistic director Moni Ovadia

TERNI – The 18th edition of the Terni Film Festival which for the second year sees the artistic direction of Moni Ovadia. “A festival coming of age” he began Arnaldo Casali, director of the Istess. The theme, All of us was announced last July with the preview at the Piediluco Festival; many news and guests of this edition that will touch on various issues: from social justice to the environment, from the protection of the most fragile to food waste. A festival that in 2022 from 12 to 20 November will animate the city for nine intense days and which increasingly promises to be an international initiative.

Moni Ovadiawho opened the press conference remotely, underlined the importance of this festival, especially in conjunction with a complex historical moment like the current one, focusing on spirituality as a communication tool and on the role we all share as of active custodians of the earth that we will hand over to future generations.

To follow, the intervention of Francesco Venturini, president of the San Martino association which from this year also manages the CAV, the Territorial Anti-Violence Center. The fight against gender-based violence will in fact be one of the main themes of the festival which will open on Saturday 12th with the inauguration of the red bench, in the churchyard of the cathedral, in memory of the women victims of violence. The bishop Francesco Antonio Soddu he remarked how much these issues concern everyone and that “no one can turn his head the other way, against indifference that is the cause of many evils, everyone can and must field something.”

Representing the Carit Foundation, which has supported the Terni Film Festival since the very first edition, there was the vice president, Massimo Valigi. “We shared this journey together, made of authentic sharing” she recalled. Proietti and Casali then reviewed various events, such as the dinner against food waste made with unsold food and the screening of the documentary on Giovanna Marini.
