Faced with the increase in divorces around the world, the Spanish film producer and director Juan Manuel Cotelo decided to lead a movement in favor of families through the big screen. That’s how the movie came about Let’s have the party in peacea musical comedy that talks about the importance of union, forgiveness and communication within families.
Regarding this new project, the director visited the city to be part of the premiere of this film, which will be released on December 1 in Cinemex theaters.
Prior to the performance, Cotelo met with some families from Queretaro, as well as members of the Catholic Church and the media to talk about this film that he promotes through Infinito +1, an international film producer and distributor that seeks to offer other content. to the audiences.
“My job is to tell stories, but I don’t settle for them being interesting (…) I don’t like to limit myself to diagnosis, I don’t like being a prophet of misfortune. What do I do? I put the camera on a story based on real families with the intention of giving hope to the viewer who may be going through difficulties in their family”, stated the director.
In addition, he asserted that through his production company, he seeks to diversify the offer in movie theaters and offer other messages where families, love and spirituality are protagonists.
“There are very important issues that are not talked about in the movies. How much do we talk about politics, soccer, the economy, money? What are there no other issues?
“Our films deal openly with spiritual themes but not for theologians, not for people who live some distance from the ground; They speak of the spirituality of day to day, of the spirituality that is lived in the family, at work, on the street; of the real problems and spiritual concerns that any person has about illness, life, love, heartbreak, resentment, ”he agreed.
He reported that this project was financed through crowdfunding, which was joined by “love activists” from more than 30 countries who do not want to be “passive spectators” and believe in the power of cinema to build new values.
Currently, Juan Manuel Cotelo is touring the country spreading the message behind Let’s have the party in peacewhich will premiere simultaneously in Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay and Puerto Rico.
The tape presents the story of a married couple whose children have decided to punish them on Christmas Eve in order to solve the problems in the family and thus achieve “the party in peace.”

INFINITO + 1 is also a foundation that emerged in Spain in 2008, and although it is a Catholic initiative, its promoters affirm that the contents are not only for this audience.
They are currently collecting 50 thousand euros (900 thousand Mexican pesos) for the distribution of Let’s have the party in peace worldwide, in addition to financing the costs of translation, subtitles, dubbing, copying and advertising.
