The new media of the Brotherhood of the Macarena begins its broadcasts on the night of this Thursday, October 20 with the first monthly program, a space of 90 minutes duration dedicated to reviewing the news of the corporation and which will begin after the streaming broadcast of the last day of the triduum of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.
Macarena Television It will be broadcast through the brotherhood’s profiles on the YouTube, Twitch and Facebook Live video platforms. The future of Macarena Televisión is to create a digital television application to install on any mobile device, screen or smart TV.
The new medium will begin with a basic programming schedule, which will combine live broadcasts with other content already published, culminating in a live monthly program lasting an hour and a half. From here, it will gradually increase its audiovisual offer until it has a daily grill.
To develop this new channel, the brotherhood has been accompanied by Blogosur Communication Group as technological partner, a Sevillian audiovisual company with proven experience in communication and content generation. “They share with our brotherhood a bold vision and conviction that it is possible to do a modern, agile, fun Macarena Television that helps the brotherhood to develop its essential purposes“, highlights José Antonio Fernández Cabrero, Macarena’s older brother.
In the presentation of Macarena Televisión, Fernández Cabrero indicated that this new means of communication “was born with a will to serve the brothers, desire for universality and evangelizing mission. It is a new voice that our Brotherhood adds to those it already has to tell, inform, train, entertain, disseminate, fraternize, evangelize and project hope to all corners of the planet.”
In this sense, the scope of the new medium is important, which “will not only reach our brothers but also will make known to people far from our brotherhood what our activity isour culture and our usefulness in the society of the 21st century”.
Macarena Televisión supposes “a fidelity to our Macareno ancestors, who were always bold and pioneering, using in each era the means at their disposal to magnify the brotherhood; and a response to the evangelical mandate -Go and announce the Gospel-, to the call of the Holy Father and of the Church to a new evangelization going out to the peripheries and looking for those who are furthest away and displaced”, pointed out Fernández Cabrero, who added that “it will also be a tool at the service of the essential purposes of our brotherhood -worship, training and charity- as well as a vindication of our culture and idiosyncrasy through its dissemination and enhancement in audiovisual formats; In short, a universal window to Hope, which will be present in those places where it is so needed”.
The objective of Macarena Television is to be a self-sufficient meansfunded through sponsorships and collaborating brands with the brotherhood.
Finally, Fernández Cabrero encouraged the brothers “to make this television their own and to consider it, in addition to a service and a communication tool, a platform for making society aware of the best of our history, our culture, our spirituality and of our daily activity”. “It is a wonderful way to tell society, with current codes and new technologies, what the Brotherhood of the Macarena is and how proud we are to feel macarenos. It is an instrument to leave the atrium and that people distant from the brotherhood, both geographically and vitally, know it and are interested in it”, he stated. “We hope that Macarena Televisión is the television of all the macarenos and anyone who wants to get to know us better”, he concluded.
