Antonio Fresa in concert on the island of San Giorgio

A music that tells nature and architecture, a concert that adds beauty to beauty by combining art and cultural experience. This is the event scheduled for Saturday 9 July (4.30 pm) at the “Lo Squero” auditorium on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice.

“A soundtrack experience”: a unique opportunity to experience the magic of a concert at the Squero with Antonio Fresa’s piano and discover the fascinating places inside the Giorgio Cini Foundation. With the purchase of the concert ticket, you will have the opportunity to participate for free in a guided tour of one of the Foundation’s venues.

The Island of San Giorgio is itself a work of art created by nature and shaped by history. A place so rich in spirituality did not leave indifferent the sensitivity of the composer Antonio Fresa, known for his soundtracks made for cinema and TV, nominated for the David di Donatello and the Nastri d’Argento as best musician for “Gatta Cenerentola”.

A soundtrack experience

Thus was born “A soundtrack experience” a soundtrack to fully savor a unique place in the world. Antonio Fresa told the Borges Labyrinth in music, one of the places on the Island of San Giorgio that exerts the greatest charm on visitors, considered one of the most beautiful gardens in Italy; and the Vatican Chapels, the ten Vatican chapels of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, built as a pavilion of the Vatican City spread over the island of San Giorgio, on the occasion of the 2018 Architecture Biennale.

Antonio Fresa’s music is the discovery of a world made not only of notes, but above all of images. This is the strength and the peculiarity that Fresa manages to blend in all his compositions which are enriched with classical and contemporary influences, with minimal music and fragments with a jazzy color. An evocative music capable of giving a new narrative dimension and a different perception of the inspiration with which these places are charged.

Free guided tour

The intent of “A soundtrack experience” in its union between music, nature and architecture is not only to create emotion for visitors who listen to the audio guides, but is also to promote the enchantment and cultural richness of Venice: to make known this heritage of architecture and natural beauty in other contexts of cultural interest. The idea of creating the two soundtrack experiences stems from the vision of Ilaria D’Uva, a Florentine entrepreneur who with her company, specialized in the development of museum technologies and services, also manages the guided tour service of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, of the Borges Labyrinth. and the Vatican Chapels. The two musical projects “Vatican Chapels” and “Walking the Labyrinth” have become two discs, available both on CD and on all digital platforms.

On the occasion of this special event, with the purchase of the ticket for the concert on Saturday 9 July, you will receive a code with which you can participate for free in a guided tour of one of the places of the Giorgio Cini Foundation: the Borges Labyrinth, the Vatican Chapels or the Green Theater.
