In the three months that the winners of The academy 20 years were held inside the facilities of Aztec TV, experienced a lot of pressure and underwent intensive classes in artistic and vocal expression. In addition to the controversies typical of a reality show and to the sudden public exposure, the students are seeing crystallized their dream of projecting themselves as nnew singing figures in Mexico and Latin America.

Cesia, Andres and Mar -first, second and third place The academythey talked with Infobae Mexico about his time on the popular program, which on this occasion exploded mainly on TikTok, making it reach younger generations.

“It exceeded my expectations because everything was more intense than it looks, especially for academics who are living it all day, waking up in the morning to have physical conditioning, singing all day, every day for three months. It is so intense, but a beautiful experience that leaves you with a beautiful learning experience as a singer and a person,” he said. Cesia, the 23-year-old Honduran who won the big first place.

For Andrewunique Mexican to be crowned, it is comforting to know that in recent months he was able to connect with the public, that now that the Show, has expressed his admiration for him: “He is a shock go out and realize the support of all the people, not only from the country and our cities of each one, but from all of Mexico. People love us and we notice it on the street when they ask us for a photo or say nice things to usthey receive us in a very special way and we are very grateful and excited”.

The Ecuadorian Mar Rendon, for his part, explained that in order to “get into the role of the song” it is necessary to fine-tune the role of interpreter, beyond that of singer. To do this, she had to mentalize and build a character to sing certain songs “from the heart and soul.”

“The teachers gave us classes on how to interpret, but also we created a character in the head, a story, and so you can feel it. For example Beyonce is ‘Sasha Fierce’that’s like tricks the brain, that’s what it’s all about, taking it in an intelligent way”, he explains. And for Andrés, singing “truly” is an exercise for which it is necessary to focus and get rid of insecurities.

The three winners agreed that “The Academy” is a school of life where they learned to know each other internally (Instagram Capture: @laacademiatv)

“Even in the eyes it shows and we did realize on the Mondays of review, how the look seemed lost and there it shows that we were disconnected. And other times you weren’t even thinking about the vocals, and it came out very well because you were where you had to be in the song”, recalled the Sonoran.

“It is very difficult when Show after Show you receive criticism and you try to understand, but you don’t succeed, you have to listen and learn, we did it, but actually achieving it is a very different thing. Many times it is in your internal work, to sit down for a while, analyze what you bring internally in order to be able to sing with truth to be able to transmit something on stage because if you don’t do that you’re never going to move forward,” he added.

And it is that in addition to the pressure to achieve a performance that shocks the critics and provokes the applause of the public, on stage you can live supernatural experiences, as happened to Cesia Saenzwho felt “a lot of peace” when connecting with his spirituality:

“In For love it was very special, I had an inner connection with God. Since before I prayed, I had never done it and there I discovered that in reality it does come, it does touch. And it was the presentation that I enjoyed the most and not so much because of the vocal level, but because seriously I sang it to Him and I felt a peace when you finish singing it I wasn’t even going to care if I got bad reviewsnor if he won or not”, confessed the young woman, who during her stay in The academy received words of support from Xiomara Castropresident of Honduras, who assured him that his voice “deserves to be heard by the whole world.”

Cesia seeks to become the “Latin Beyoncé”, and her efforts will be focused on experiment with the sauce, his favorite genre, which, although it often has sad themes, its rhythm is joyful. “When we make music we tell our story. The sauce is like this because tells very sad things to danceis because all that we have to know how to cope, we have to have fun, get over it that way.”

“I really like salsa, I didn’t know I could dance and sing salsa and here I come to discover it, I would love to be able to combine it with urban genres, R&Bsome pretty crazy stuff. I hope that Sony give me the opportunity because they gave the entrance to a very crazy and very hyperactive woman”, he counted between laughs before the premiere of his first single I refuse, cover by Danny Ocean.
