Tignano Festival: shows and cultural meetings in Barberino Tavarnelle

In one of the oldest and most enchanting villages and castles in Chianti, music and culture return to echo in the sign of sustainability and commitment to the environment and peace.

After a pause that lasted two years, the ‘living room’ of Tignano, a site of interest among the precious ones of Tuscany, is preparing to welcome a quality booklet characterized by nine top-level proposals (starting time 21.30) that invite you to reflect and raise awareness on the issues of awareness, dialogue and inclusion.

With a clear and consolidated objective over the years, driven by the passion of the organization, the Tignano Cultural Committee, made up of dozens of volunteers residing in the village and chaired by Paolo Gianni, the support of the Municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle, takes off the 33rd edition of the Tignano Festival for the Environment and the Meeting of the Peoplesan initiative sponsored by the Tuscany Region and the Metropolitan City of Florence, with gonews.it and Radio Lady media partner.

THE PROGRAM

Thursday 30 June the Festival opens with the meeting The revolution of love, for a new Renaissance. The protagonist is the psychotherapist, jurist and music therapist Mauro Scardovelli which thus introduces the appointment: “An ever larger part of humanity is awakening, growing in awareness and raising its consciousness. Love and spirituality drive change but the path to a new world has just begun ”. Free admission.

Friday 1 July from 9.00 pm the evocative atmosphere of Tango 1920, a tribute to Osvaldo Pugliese, will animate the castle. 100 years of Tango history relived with couples of tangueros from all over Tuscany for a night of dance, heart and passion. A journey of emotions starting from the evocative atmosphere of Buenos Aires in the early 1900s that united and brought together peoples from all over the world in an embrace, the maximum expression of Argentine Tango. Tuesday 5th July it will be the turn of the lyric concert of the artists of the Academy of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Three centuries of music through the compositions of Giuseppe Verdi, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini and other famous composers. The program includes numerous arias, taken from some of the most famous operas, from Verdi’s Macbeth to Puccini’s Tosca. The protagonists will be the tenors Joseph ahdah and Lulama Taifasi, the bass Amin Ahangaran and Lorenzo Masoni at the piano. Free admission.

Thursday 7th July appointment with the international jazz of the Spiritual Trio, one of Fabrizio Bosso’s most fascinating projects in which the trumpeter, with the organist Alberto Marsico and the drummer Alessandro Minetto, pays homage to black music declined in its Gospel and Spiritual variant in a wise journey full of discoveries and emotions. Sunday 10th July Dario Boldrini, the planetary Gardener and Marco Pardini, the Piantastorie, will be the protagonists of the meeting The wonder of nature, from ethnobotanical narratives to the planetary garden. A journey, a dynamic reading of inspiring stories to discover the revolutionary actions and revelations of nature. How can we translate the language of nature to reconnect to the earth and its primordial balances? Through what wonders can we better express a shared and revolutionary ecology?

Dario Boldrini is an eclectic and brilliant landscape architect and since 2015 he has been conducting services for television programs (Geo on Rai 3) related to the practices of the garden and natural agriculture. He is the author of The Planetary Garden. Marco Pardini is a well-known and masterful television divulger of ethnobotany for Noi Tv Lucca and is a naturopath Heilpraktiker. For more than thirty years he has been involved in natural medicine. He is the author of Poetic Herbarium and Il Piantastorie. Free admission.

Thursday 14th July the awarding of the Meeting of the Peoples Award a Moni Ovadia, considered one of the most prestigious and popular men of culture and artists on the Italian scene. Friday 15 July awarding of the Environmental Award a Stefano Liberti. Journalist, documentary maker and director, he regularly publishes inquiries and reportages in national and international media (Internazionale, l’Espresso, Le Monde diplomatique, Al Jazeera, El Pais semanal). Among his works: The lords of food; The big cart; Scorched earth. How the environmental crisis is changing Italy and our life. Thursday 21st July we talk about renewable energies and energy communities with the writer, cartoonist, actor and ecologist Jacopo Fo and the environmentalist and expert Fabio Roggiolani. Jacopo Fo started dealing with ecology and wellness in the 70s and works to raise awareness of the efficiency and convenience of thermal solar panels and solar power. Among his major projects is the Free University of Alcatraz which is responsible for spreading the culture of peace, art and ecology in various sectors. Fabio Roggiolani played in the Greens and was a councilor in the Tuscany Region for two legislatures. He was president of the Agriculture Commission and the Health Commission, as well as organizer of national events on environmental issues. He is one of the founders of the Giga and Free projects and co-founder of Ecofuturo. Free admission.

The Festival closes its doors on Friday 22 July with the Ray of Light Peace Concert by the Heidegalm Symphonic Band from Belgium, conducted by Maestro Kristof Aerts. Free admission.
