They will hold a meeting of the Norte Grande to value the comprehensive heritage of the NEA

Officials of the Institute of Culture of the province together with their peers from the Argentine Northeast and Northwest provinces, officially presented the “Belongings: Encounter of Comprehensive Heritage of the NEA 2022”, which will be held from June 2 to 4 at the Museum Anibal Cambas de Posadas. The official presentation was made on the morning of this Friday the 27th, at a conference held at the Casa de las Culturas del Chaco.

The event, organized by the NEA Cultural Entity, brings together the Institute of Culture of Chaco, the Ministry of Culture of Misiones, the Undersecretary of Culture of Formosa and the Institute of Culture of Corrientes, together with the Ministry of Culture of the Nation and the Council National Interuniversity.

The president and member of the Institute of Culture of Chaco (ICCH), Francisco Romero and Alfredo Germignani, respectively, participated in the conference; and the director of Cultural Heritage of said organization, Graciela Barrios.

In a virtual way, they were the president of the Institute of Culture of Corrientes, Gabriel Romero; the Minister of Culture of the Province of Misiones, Joselo Schuap; the Secretary of Culture of the Province of Formosa, Fredy Jara; the president of the Cultural Entity of Tucumán, Carlos Alberto Martín Ruiz Torres; the secretary of Cultures of La Rioja, Patricia Herrera; the Secretary of Cultural Management of Catamarca, Daiana Roldan; the Undersecretary of Culture of Santiago del Estero, Juan Leguizamón; the Secretary of Culture of Salta, Sabrina Sansone; and the Secretary of Culture of Jujuy, Luis Medina Zar. Among others and other prominent officials, the meeting will be attended by the Minister of Culture of the Nation, Tristán Bauer.

“The name of this meeting, Belongings, marks our interest, the place where discussions on public policies pass today, dialogues that we carry out together with civil associations and institutions, universities and communities for the preservation of our heritage,” Romero explained. “The Great North has two great riches: our linguistic diversities and bio-diversities, therefore, they are memories that must be reinterpreted and protected, both for the present and for the future. Life suits us at this civilizational crossroads of preserving our environment from the creation of a consciousness where culture and nature, far from facing each other, allow us to overcome old dilemmas, because speaking of heritage is not only speaking of memory, but also of present”, remarked the president of the provincial cultural portfolio.

“With this Posadas declaration we seek to define what we expect for the next 25 to 30 years, so that our communities and public policies come out enriched from different visions,” Romero concluded.

The Meeting will have the direct participation of members of the Directorate of Socio-Cultural Heritage of Formosa, the Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Directorate of Socio-Cultural Promotion of Chaco, the Directorate of Heritage of Corrientes, and the Undersecretary for Coordination of Development and Cultural Regions and Undersecretariat for Cultural Revaluation and Museums of Misiones. In addition, it will have the support of the National University of Formosa, the University of Chaco Austral, the National University of the Northeast, and the National University of Misiones.

“It is a great honor that this happens in our land, in Posadas. It is important that the provinces unite to produce this type of cultural encounters that claim our identity”, added Joselo Schua.

The event will revolve around four thematic axes, which will in turn be divided into different work tables. They will be: Heritage and territory: Being South American to unite the fragmented, Cultivate the land and our minds and hearts, Inhabit the senses: the environment in the arts and the arts in our environments: cultural productions, innovations and authenticity, and We are what we speak. Plurilingualism and interculturality (languages ​​and popular spirituality

“The agreement that was made between the four provinces is to be able to propose experiences and works that bring together a diversity, both of themes and of social actors, who are the protagonists of said experiences,” said Gabriela Barrios. The province will present at the Meeting not only government actions but also NGOs, communities, and some cases also articulated with universities

“I believe that this meeting is going to be an eloquent proof of the historical richness and diversity that we have, of this successful present and the articulation that exists between the different sectors. From this meeting we will build the networks that give sustainability and visibility to this wealth,” said Fredi Jar

For his part, Gabriel Romero, from the Institute of Culture of Corrientes, expressed: “We are experiencing a very valuable collective work experience; The work that Gabi did for the Chaco, which he coordinated with Laura from Misiones and with the people from Formosa and with the teams from Corrientes, was very important because the central issues related to heritage in each province were discussed. For this reason, this instance is so important, because it gives the possibility of knowing experiences

Among the experiences that the province will present will be the cases of heritage sites and places such as Concepción del Bermejo, the Historic Center of Barranqueras, Campo del Cielo, the work around the Impenetrable National Park, the revitalization and recognition of Afro-Chaco identity, the development of kenaf fibers, the cases of the René James Sotelo Chaco Aboriginal Craft Fair, the Qom Chelaalapi Choir and the Chaco Gastronomy Forum, among other initiatives
