“At sea” by Slavomir Mrozek

Cistern Theater
Directed by: Igor Uibo
With: Michèle Fulgoni, Michèle Martin, Astrid Pérille, François Pepos.

A ship has sunk. Three survivors on a raft. The provisions they were able to save are exhausted. How not to starve while waiting for a possible rescue? Since there is nothing left to eat, all that remains is to eat one of the three. But which? Are we going to elect the one who will serve the meal? Or designate it by using force? Democracy or dictatorship? None of the choices is unanimous and for good reason… But, perhaps there is a third way…
Slavomir Mrozek, Polish writer and playwright (1930-2013), delivers a fable whose fierce humor is the driving force from start to finish, a fable, admittedly absurd, about power relations where in the background , one guesses communist Poland after the 2nd World War where the author lived. However, and this is what makes the salt of this joyful comedy, the situation is not specifically Polish and applies perfectly to all those who have always troubled human society. Mrozek thus fulfills the main mission of the theater: to make us laugh at our faults.

Friday 11 November 8.30 p.m. – Salle des Fêtes Beblenheim

An ideal woman by Antoine Rivoire and Jérôme Cartier

Umbrella company

Directed by: Frederic Ries
With: Sandrine Mansion – Françoise Losser – Frédéric Ries

Virginie is an ideal woman, zealous in her work and caring in her relationship. Yet Armand cheats on her with Estelle. All this perfection suffocates him. All normal people have flaws, it is perfection that is abnormal. How will Virginie react when she learns of her husband’s infidelity? A camera where each character will cultivate lies, friendship, betrayal, and cowardice with delight.

“Get in line, my little ones, let me watch you. Ah, you are lovely, really lovely!”
Louise, Ludivine, Chloé and Ada spend their retirement on the “Côte du Soleil”… Waiting for the sun which is slow to come and while watching the thugs through the window, they tell each other stories… Are they true? , are they wrong? Who knows, but none of them are fooled… And then one day, the strange Fernande arrives…
With a keen sense of observation and fine literary quality, the author takes us into the universe of four women.
A moving and sparkling text where laughter, tears, lies and truths mix…

Saturday, November 12, 8:30 p.m. – Salle des Fêtes Beblenheim
Rural Mythologies by Roland Fichet

by the Tallipot Company
Directed by Sophie Thomann

For his new creation, we have chosen to share with you stories where human nature and the myths it creates come together.
By choosing Petites Comédies Rurales by Roland Fichet, it is beings connected to the earth that we want to show and what we want to hear is what they express most primitively, most wildly, but also more human: desire, envy, madness, modesty.
Roland Fichet’s characters carry within them all the victims and all the monsters. They are in turn unsympathetic, funny, cruel, finally simply human in their qualities and their faults.
Each of these little stories written in a sharp language is a polaroid of humanity that the author offers us and that we invite you to discover.

with: Aurore Dill, Elisabeth Dill, Linda Dill, Mireille Freyburger, Christine Kopp, Anne Lallement, Guy Lallement, Alain Malgarini, Jean-Jacques Servet.
Directed by Sophie Thomann
Lighting, Jean-Marc Birgaentzle
Director, Benoît Lichtlen
Costumes and masks, Elisabeth Dill

The hospital of words

National Theater of Secateur

TO BE HEARD, YOU SHOULD SAY ANYTHING IN A TONE NEVER HEARD

It’s not about telling a story, but about being in a human space in which something can happen or not happen, but in which you have to spend time, experience this process, during which some people fall, to others go to some form of salvation.
… It is the exploration of a perversion, that of the human species for the fall. It cannot be analyzed by a rational process. So maybe our theatrical art that works with and on the melting of the front and back – “white and black” – of our soul can contribute something, with the actor at the center of this process.

Degraded people, under the effect of psychic destruction, leave the usual duty of rational communication. They contain a spiritual force, coming out of the patterns of morality, a possibility of getting out of all the patterns that we use all the time.
This language, without any censorship, cruel, brutal, even vulgar, becomes beautiful because it communicates to us through it the state of mind of these people.
All these norms which govern humanity, which come from the 19th century, which decide what is beautiful and good, and which we can clearly see are no longer appropriate. As an artist, I take great pleasure in breaking it all down,… Today a lot of people gather together, waiting for something, but we don’t know what…
