The most beautiful stories we told you in 2022

Despite an end of the year marked by several dark ecclesial events, the year 2022 was also marked by beautiful stories that it is important to highlight at this Christmas time.

All was not all rosy, but all was not all black either in this year 2022, it is often easier to keep in mind the terrible events of a year rather than the happy moments. After all, as Pagnol said: Such is the life of men. Some joys, very quickly erased by unforgettable sorrows. It is not necessary to tell the children. » But we are still going to come back to these “some joys” of the year 2022 through nine stories.

Gad Elmaleh :“The Virgin Mary changed my life”

This was one of the good surprises of this year 2022, the comedian actor gives strong clues to a possible conversion to Christianity. Indeed, with the release of his film “Reste un peu”, Gad Elmaleh retraces his spiritual path, and although this path does not yet officially indicate a clear conversion, we nevertheless notice a very interested look on his part on religion. Christian. A good surprise in a film industry which, nowadays, is not necessarily part of a great spirituality…

The beautiful restoration of a stained glass window of an abandoned chapel

Three decades ago, a young scout named François de la Cochetière found at the foot of a dilapidated chapel a fragment of stained glass representing the face of the Virgin Mary. Sensitive to the beauty of this fragment and not wanting to see it decay in nature, the young scout kept this fragment. Years later, as an adult, he opened his copy of Famille Chrétienne, like any sensible person, and discovered the story of the family of Raphaël le Pelletier who, for a symbolic 1 euro, had acquired the chapel and wanted to restore it. François then contacted Raphaël to give him the stained glass window, 30 years later!

With his family, Raphaël le Pelletier embarked on the restoration of the chapel of Saint Joseph, in Mayenne. Thanks to Famille Chrétienne, he was able to find a piece of the stained glass window dedicated to the Virgin.

networks of faith

It is interesting to note that, despite a time when the faith was a little faltering in France, Catholicism managed despite everything, somehow, to hold the helm and to innovate. This is particularly the case on social networks where certain personalities like Brother Paul-Adrien become true evangelizers. His videos touched Camille, a 19-year-old young woman who knew nothing about the Catholic world and who, following her videos and a journey of conversion, ended up being baptized at Easter. Not so long ago, she“didn’t dare go into churches too much. »
