President Griselda Martínez recognized, on the first day of the Manzanillo Book Fair 2022, various exhibitors and masters in the art of letters who, with their creations, invite readers to learn about and experience different social, economic and of spirituality.
This cultural agenda, mainly to strengthen the taste for reading and the world of letters, in its evening stage, managed to gather hundreds of people who gathered at Plaza Juárez, to witness book presentations, interact with their authors , to meet them, but they also enjoyed everything that is offered at the same time; crafts and products that are promoted through the program For the love of Manzanillo Consume Local, and also through the workshops that are taught to create and let the imagination fly in the making of soap or cardboard pieces.
As part of the book presentations, this Thursday afternoon Dr. Celestino Núñez Mata spoke about part of his work, short stories that he has printed in a text, and in which he reflects realities from his perspective as a psychiatrist who is his profession, which makes for a unique read. He exposed the stories of an Ecuadorian journalist who goes to the community of Canoas because nature as a whole loses its conditions and changes drastically due to the intention of mining in the place. Also, he spoke about his story The Bride Who Came Back, where he manifests a physical condition of someone who takes his own life due to a mild brain deficiency, wrapped in a common and country story. President Griselda Martínez presented an award for her participation in the Manzanillo Book Fair 2022.
Likewise, in Forum B, of this fair, Dr. Andrés Peñaloza gave a conference on Adam Smith, a merchant with moral sentiments, according to the exhibition the price of all merchandise is made up of wages, profit and rent, Concepts defined as the three original sources of all income and of all exchange value.
