TedxMilano 2022: Micro & Macro

Milan – Monday 30 May and Tuesday 31 May 2022 the appointment is back with TedxMilano – edited by Catherine de Brabant And Benedetta Marietti – with a double format: two evenings available in attendance at the Franco Parenti Theater from Milan and broadcast simultaneously in live streaming on a dedicated platform.

Milan – Monday 30th May an event dedicated to young people is scheduled (TedxYouth @ Milan), in its second Milanese edition, will precede the ninth edition of TedxMilano, scheduled for Tuesday 31 May. Two different and complementary multidisciplinary evenings, with a single fil rouge – Micro & Macro – to reflect on major contemporary themes and on valuable ideas that deserve to be disseminated. During the two days they are scheduled workshops open to the public.

Bianca Arrighini And Livia ViganĂ²founders of the digital news platform Factanza, dismantle the prejudices that paint young people as poorly informed and talk about how communication is changing thanks to the advent of new technologies and new languages. The ocean navigator Ambrogio Beccaria tells the smallness of man in the face of the immensity of nature and the courage necessary to face unexpected challenges. Lilia Giugni – associate researcher and lecturer for the Cambridge Center for Social Innovation and founder of the feminist think tank GenPol, Gender & Policy Insights – explains how the embrace of patriarchy, capitalism and the advancement of technology is suffocating women and fanning the flames of violence gender. For Elena Grifoni Winters, chief of staff of the director general of the European Space Agency (ESA) and secretary of the ESA Council on behalf of the director general, space exploration helps to observe the Earth and its climate changes from an unprecedented and important point of view; and talks about how teams made up of international and multicultural astronauts become peacekeeping missions. Stefano Laffi, sociologist expert in social changes, youth cultures, processes of marginalization, consumption and addictions, he encourages young people to overcome the blackmail of the present and to develop the imagination to grasp new possibilities in the future. Social entrepreneurs Dario Odifreddi and Cristiana Poggi, founders of Piazza dei Mestieri – a meeting place and an innovative model of social entrepreneurship, inclusion and education for young people – challenge young people to find their talents within themselves and to ignite desire as a form of freedom. Two performances scheduled during the evening TedxYouth @ Milan: on the stage of the Franco Parenti Theater the butterflies, the highly decorated Italian gymnasts enchant the audience with their acrobatic exercises; And the Obliviona group of singers and actors made up of five elements, a cappella retrace the history of rock in six minutes.

The sociologist Massimiano Bucchi tells how everyone can become innovators: just change your point of view and learn to read reality from another angle. Camilla Colucci – co-founder of Circularitythe startup that has generated a platform for the management and recycling of industrial waste – explains how to trigger a real change in the fight against climate change and how the action of the individual can infect an entire community. Paolo Magriexecutive vice president of ISPI, will reflect on the new geopolitical dynamics. Ingrid Paoletti, professor at the Milan Polytechnic and material activist, invites everyone to be materialistic: in fact, matter is present everywhere, even in the digital world; learning to respect it will awaken our ideas and our planning. Carlo Alberto Redibiologist, academic of the Lincei, explains what changes must be implemented to ensure health and well-being and leave a livable planet to future generations. Alessandro Rosina, professor of Demography and Social Statistics at the Catholic University of Milan, reflects on the relationship between individual choices and collective value. The Milanese artist Patrick Tuttofuoco reveals the immense power of art: that of immersing artists and audiences in a somewhere else, a time and a space different from those we live in everyday life, where we can nourish ourselves with spirituality and ideas. A mini concert by Frida Bollani Magonia very young singer and musician, as well as a daughter of art, who will show the public her talent on the piano and with the voice.
