” In my theater I aim to make people think, not to reassure ”

No one is a prophet at home“, this is the title of the latest theatrical creation by Pina Bellanofrom Furciof adoption a little Vasto, a little Roman, actress of the small screen for many years now. Nothing is as sweet as the call of the homeland, so Pina has created a reading of mixed pieces paying homage to the great Giorgio Gaber And Franca Rame.

Who had escaped this talented woman, Pina claims that she was born to be an actress, because she has always lived to “bread and cinema” since she was very young, passion became a profession, which has developed thanks to his incessant curiosity towards mankind as a subject of study of his spirituality, passing through the observation of the thoughtful looks of people at the bus stop or in the subway.

We do not miss the opportunity to ask you some questions.

Pina would you like to tell us about this new show that will be staged on 11 August in Furci, your hometown? The municipal administration proposed me to stage something of my own and I was not caught unprepared. I bring this latest creation of mine to the stage with enthusiasm and a lot of emotion with a great tribute to Franca Rame on gender violence, aimed at making the viewer reflect on a theme that today, as never before, needs to be treated aloud. My loyal guitarists will accompany me in the exhibition, Piero and Luigi Minicucci and my second voice and colleague Carmine Paraggio. I cannot reveal more ”.

Your curriculum contains high-level experiences, from workshops with Elio Germano to various diplomas at acting and dubbing schools up to real roles in cinema and theater even alongside big names. How do you impersonate so many different characters each time? Is there one you have remained attached to? The real job of the actor is just that, to totally immerse himself in his character’s shoes without looking like an actor, that’s what we work on, a lot. I still remember my first role in the theater, that of a prostitute, it was not easy to put myself in the shoes of a woman with a fragile and often raped soul. Here we actors have to work on the soul of the character otherwise we appear fake, and where there is fiction the viewer without necessarily being an art critic realizes it. It was very difficult to work in that role. If, on the other hand, I had to think of a character that has remained inside me, I would certainly answer that of Settimia Spizzichino in “Rome-Auschwitz round trip”, The only woman in the ghetto of Rome who has returned from the extermination camps. A character that I played in theaters for 6 years and who had become part of me “.

An adjective to define your theater? Uncomfortable. Mine is an uncomfortable narrative, aimed at making people think not reassuring. All my shows are apparently cynical with sometimes tragicomic implications. I consider myself an informant of the soul with a slightly bitter taste “.

How do you see your future? “I’m always on the go, now I’ve just finished shooting a movie with Donatella Finocchiaro and then I will continue to shoot in schools, especially in the suburbs, so that the profession of the actor can become a school of life even for those who are unfortunately far from this reality ”.
