THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF “AVATAR 2″
Some days ago, director james cameron revealed that he spent almost a year writing the script for “Avatar: The Higher Ground”, which would be the sequel to the film released in 2009, but surprisingly decided to discard it.
According to the also director of “titanic”, “Rambo 2” Y “Terminator”, “the script did not sufficiently comply with the rules of ‘Avatar’, which is to connect with the world of dreams, the one that has a spiritual component that we cannot even quantify with words”.
That the sequel written by Cameron is not approved may be an advantage for the franchise, since placing more than a decade of difference increases the expectation, contrary to other productions that, by launching new tapes taking advantage of the success of the original, condemn the story major.
In fact, in the first tape of “Avatar” the spirituality of the tribes that inhabit Prometheus was made clear, whose sacred places are the Tree of Souls and the Well of Souls, which play a key role in the clans, while in the failed sequel these would hardly be mentioned.
For his part, Sam Worthington revealed in conversation with Collider that there is a “Avatar 1.5″, which was given to him and Zoe Saldaña a few years ago and could close the gap between the first and second tapes of the saga.
“Jim (Cameron) gave us a script for (Avatar) 1.5 that he wrote that shows the time between Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water, and he wrote a full script. I said, ‘When do we shoot this? Because it’s amazing.’ He says, ‘No, no, that’s something I wrote over the past year to give you his backstory.’”explained the actor.
Although the content of the script was not revealed, the portal ScreenRant He points out that the delivery would last three hours and would lay the foundations for the aquatic adventure that the protagonists will have in the next film. Similarly, it could cover what happened after the rebellion of the Na’vi and how they rebuilt their society after expelling the invaders.
