“He who doesn’t fight has already lost”. Promote positive examples of historical becoming in living here and now socialism! (L. Rosati and L. Vasapollo)

Always forward, the continuous struggle is not a slogan, but today’s reality. It continues in different forms, different contexts and different protagonists, but the only real protagonist is the historical evolution of the class struggle.
The liberation struggle of the oppressed peoples of the South continues against the imperialist domination of NATO-centric unipolarity, and the struggle of the subordinate classes of the North pauperized by the crisis, the subordinate Gramscians, from the unemployed to the poor without income to the working poor.

In this perspective, the memory of the struggles of the past is an important vector that feeds the living liberation of the present, and builds in full awareness and responsibility those dynamics of liberation of the future against capitalist barbarism and to immediately build socialism. Making them disappear in a process of removal or, worse, of misrecognition of their radical nature by perverting their contents, is a conscious act recognized by the power as consonant with its control interests and a conscious attempt to destroy today’s social and political conflict.

In Italy, the upheaval of “dissociation” created by power, from its constitution in the “homogeneous areas” of special prisons in the 1980s up to its current aberrations on “restorative justice” and passing through the desolidarizing social dissociation that attempts to displace the conflict in favor of power by denying the life of the proletariat in organized or otherwise organized struggle, up to the unhealthy internalization of the role of “terrorist” attributed by the official narration to the protagonists of the 70s and to those who today are the leading actor or actively in solidarity with the anti-capitalist struggles and alongside those subjects and spaces of the conflict or countries that are terroristly defined by the NATO-centric powers as «Rogue States» as socialist and anti-imperialist, it works with the dissociation of the concrete practice of the class struggle, not only as a killer of the memory of past subversion , but erects the wall of an alleged disenchantment with the emergence of new ones possible and necessary assaults on the sky.

Defending and rehabilitating the historical truth of that phase of the clash between the people of subordinates and the regime of historical concerted compromise, destructive of practice and feelings, of bodies and creative spiritualities. and therefore concretely anti-proletarian, is not only a duty of memory but of practical implementation, real and today of living socialism in the struggles and in the positive examples of human relations between revolutionaries. But also much more: it is a matter of keeping alive the flame that starts to shine again without transmuting into desistance and surrender the ancient paradigm according to which rebelling is right and winning is possible, practicable and absolutely necessary. If not now, when?

Yes, because in the 1960s and 1970s, and in the decades following the war, struggles were also, and above all, won. In the improvement of the material conditions of existence, of social living, of the freedom conquered with mass force in the workplace, in the collective sharing of a dream that materialized in social, human and affective relationships, in a greater enjoyment of free time and of individual virtualities. A setback in power that lasted many years, and I still live today, a good piece of life. Unfortunately there isn’t a similar political adventure underway today that someone can already historicize and tell, and that this is said with all due respect to the ideology of defeat which in itself is a sure internalization of a defeat but entirely by those who decant it.

The losers are those who have been declaring and living in defeat for years, in abdicating and abjuring the struggle and their class belonging, the will to be active subjects of the transformation.

For this, we respect the past. Let’s give it back its positive meaning, its liberating code. The past leaves marks, furrows of deep wounds that cut body and soul. And it is already a good reason not to forgive those who make a mess of it. Then, the past penetrates, forges, forms and determines the present and, therefore, also the socialist creative potentials of the future. Because if, in the minds of the young generations in struggle, the normality of repentance and dissociation even today from the class and from the conflict is acquired, even of the political and social furnishings that are the lords of the quaquaraqua of “ their “hypocritical past“, whether they are judicial, social or political repentants and dissociated, or from living the daily life of class conflict, it will become consequential and normal to affirm that they want to dissociate themselves from the class struggle, from the movement of the exploited.

To desolidarize and disconnect from the fabric of the new insurgencies incompatible with the system, as unfortunately some do, deliberately reduced to splendid isolation.

Repentance and dissociation, even from the actions of comrades, today’s subordinates, are the graves of the hopes placed in the present and in the future. Finding himself at the crossroads of a choice, a young militant of today could feel the motivations for his adherence to the struggle movement fail… perhaps to drift into the hell of alcohol and drugs. Or, at best, in the supine acceptance of the “present state of things”. And of the official narratives: that communism and fascism are two totalitarianisms, that the class struggle is a mafia phenomenon, that those of the 70s were terrorists.
Exactly: it is not the past of the few but the communist ethical living in the present to build the new future humanity that destroys and overcomes the miseries of the mean that we have known and unfortunately lived.

Destroy to overcome in building today, here and now, with the implementing example of revolutionary ethics in the theory of practice.
The problem posed by dissociation and repentance is not a question of the past, but of the present and, moreover, a mortgage on the future. “Whoever doesn’t fight has already lost”, as Che Guevara taught.
