Hades 2, Judas, Death Stranding 2,…: all the games announced at the Game Awards

The Game Awards have, like every year, been the opportunity to discover several new very big games, including Hades 2, Death Stranding 2 or Judas, the new game from the creator of BioShock.

Company of Heroes 3 is coming to consoles

Strategy game lovers will be able to discover in 2023 one of the best representatives of the genre on their game console since a port of Company of Heroes 3 has been announced on consoles. The challenge for the developers will be to adapt the gameplay of the game to the pad, because we know that strategy games are not always easy to play on the pad. The third episode of the series focuses on the Allied offensive in the Mediterranean, in the middle of the Second World War. No release on the old generation, only new generation consoles will be entitled to it.

Armored Core VI

Fans of mech games will get their money’s worth this year with the release of Armored Core 6, a new installment in the famous series of mech games from the studio From Software. Published by Bandai Namco, the title will offer reinvented gameplay, modeled on that of other From Software productions. Players will be able to move freely through a vast, fully three-dimensional environment with great maneuverability and experience intense mech combat. The game is expected on PC, Xbox One, Series, PS4/5 in 2023.

Crime Boss

It is without a shadow of a doubt THE game that will have marked the spirits during the evening. With its tantalizing cast that brings together a fine cast of Hollywood actors, its “next-gen” graphics and its universe of gangsters, Crime Boss has it all. The title published by 505 Games presents itself as a totally delirious cooperative FPS.

Crash Team Rumble

On the side of Activision this time, we find another curiosity with Crash Team Rumble, a spin-off of the Crash Bandicoot which will take the form of a competitive game in four against four, in the universe of Crash Bandicoot. Colourful, fun and delirious, CTR promises to be one of the multiplayer games of 2023. The title is expected on all platforms except the Switch.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II: a first gameplay video

Announced a year ago, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II finally unveiled itself through a nice gameplay video that wowed us. The title will take up the formula of its predecessor by mixing beat them all and third-person shooting, in the characteristic universe of Warhammer 40,000. The game will only be released on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

Banishers

In addition to Space Marine II, Focus had brought another title in its suitcases this year. The publisher came to present Dontnod’s new game (Life is Strange). Banishers presents itself as an RPG in which the player will have to hunt monsters. It is expected once again only on PC and next-gen consoles.

Transformers Activate

Another unexpected announcement: that of Transformers Activate, a cooperative game for up to four players in the Transformers universe, developed by the Splash Damage studio. Few details have filtered on the project, and in fact we do not even know if the game will be played in the first or third person. Activate however promises to be an ambitious project, and will be the first title entirely published by the studio.

Remnant 2

Given the success of the first, it was to be expected and it is now official, the very friendly cooperative RPG Remnant will be entitled to a sequel on PC and next-generation consoles. On the gameplay side, it’s always closer to a more accessible Dark Souls, in a particularly stylish post-apocalyptic universe.

Blue Protocol

Amazon and Namco Bandai are teaming up to deliver an alternative to the hugely popular Genshin Impact. Expected in 2023 on PC and consoles, Blue Protocol promises to be a particularly ambitious MMORPG, with a graphic style inspired by the greatest anime.

Horizon Burning Shores

Sony came for its part to present the first expansion of Horizon 2, called Burning Shores, which will send us exploring new environments in modern California. The expansion will be available on PS4 and PS5.

Wayfinder

The small studio Digital Extremes came to present its new game, Wayfinder, a cooperative action-RPG with an anime look, which will take place in a medieval fantasy universe. Surprise, the game will be released exclusively on PS4/5 and PC.

Tekken 8: a first trailer

Unsurprisingly, Tekken 8 was also on the program of the event with the presentation of the first trailer of the future fighting game from Namco Bandai, which like most of the games announced during the evening will be exclusive to PC / next-generation consoles.

Immortals of Aevum

The publisher Electronic Arts came to present a new license. Developed by studio Ascendant, Aevum is a futuristic first-person shooter that will feature an immersive and visceral campaign, set in an original fantasy world steeped in magic, but ravaged by conflict and on the brink of nothingness. The title is expected in 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

Another surprise: when we thought the series was buried, Hideo Kojima, who nevertheless signed his next exclusive with Xbox, came to present the first trailer for Death Stranding 2, which will be released exclusively on PS5 and PC. A curious mix of narrative game, walking simulator and action game, the title had received mixed reviews when it was released.

A first trailer for Dune Awakening

Funcom had come to present the first trailer for its MMORPG based on the Dune universe. Ambitious, the project will let you explore the entire planet and is largely based on Conan Exiles.

Earthblade

As for indie games, the event was an opportunity to discover the new production of the creators of Celeste, a small indie nugget. Earthblade will remain faithful to the graphic style of Celeste while offering a radically different gaming experience.

The Last of Us and Returnal are coming to PC

Sony will continue to bring its exclusives to PC. After God of War, the publisher has just announced the release of Returnal and The Last of Us Part 1 on PC. The Last of Us Part 1 will be released on March 3, 2023 on PC.

Bayonetta Origins

On Switch, there was not much to eat during the evening. A spin-off of Bayonetta has however been announced exclusively on the Nintendo machine. Bayonetta Origins will be presented as a 3D action adventure game with a very particular graphic style…

Judas

Another big surprise of the evening, Judas presents itself as the spiritual sequel to BioShock. Both in its graphic style and its gameplay, the game is reminiscent of the 2K hit. The title is also developed by a team led by Ken Levine, the creator of BioShock… Release planned for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.

Hades 2

Announced for the moment only on PC, Hades 2 is the direct sequel to the indie hit Hades, a curious mix of diablo-like and rogue-lite that makes us explore Greek mythology through a thrilling adventure. We do not doubt it for a second: the title will also be released on all consoles later.

A new trailer for Replaced

Among the most anticipated indie games, on PC and Xbox only, Replaced presents itself as a curious mix of adventure and action in a pixelated cyberpunk universe. A little graphic slap that we can discover from 2023.

After Us

The publisher Private Divisions had come to present its latest creation, After Us, an adventure game in which the player will embody Gaia, the spirit of the Earth, and will have to save the souls of dead animals. The title will be released in March 2023 on PC and next-gen consoles.
