Strong of its debut last November, it returns “Not even the gods”the literary festival and meetings author promoted to Cagliari from the cooperative Vox Daya well-established brand in the panorama of independent music in Sardinia, but also active in other areas such as books and the comparison of ideas.

Not even the Gods (the name is borrowed from the title of one of Isaac Asimov’s most successful science fiction novels, “The Gods Themselves”, from 1972) promotes the research and deepening of the perception of everyday life, the sharing of knowledge , the value of human experience, elements that make up an intricate and fascinating journey, made up of dystopias and fantasy, sustainable economy and psychology, medicine, art and spirituality.

After Palazzo Siotto, in the heart of Castello, home of the first edition, the festival in summer version moves to Lazarettothe municipal center of art and culture in another historic Cagliari district, Sant’Elia, where he will pitch his tents for four evenings on the last weekend of the month, from Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 July (with a subsequent section scheduled for 1, 2 and 3 September).

Among the protagonists of this second edition, which is presented under the title “Revolutions”the journalist and writer Enrica Perucchietti, the photojournalist Giorgio Bianchi, the blogger Francesco Narmenni, the counter-information expert Marco Pizzuti, but also the satire of the author, writer and performer Arianna Porcelli Safonov, the words and music of the singer-songwriter Andrea Chimenti .

An interview with the journalist Giacomo Serreli opens the series of meetings – Thursday 28 at 7:00 pmAlessandro Muroniwith his book Dance me to the end of lovepublished last year by Arkadia: story of the author’s life experience that takes its cue from that, albeit brief, of his father, but also the story of a musical and theatrical show, “Author’s love songs” , staged in 2000 in Sassari: conceived by Muroni himself – musician, composer, artistic director of the Charme de Caroline group (four albums and related musical performances) – it was a small event that saw the active participation of musicians, actors and actresses of the Sassari scene.

We remain in the musical field with the second guest of the evening, the journalist Laura Pezzino: interviewed by the artistic director of the festival, the musician and author Davide Catinari, presents In New York with Patti Smiththe “geobiography” (published this year by Giulio Perrone Editore) which traces the main stages of the great American singer and performer in the “Big Apple”.

At 21:00 the microphone switches to the Venetian Andrea De Spirt with his debut novel, Each creature is an island, also recently published (for the types of Il Saggiatore): the island is the remote one where the protagonist of the story moved, hoping to find answers on the disappearance of his brother, perhaps suicidal in that very land. In dialogue with the author, the journalist Simone Cavagnino.

Closing of the evening in music with Andrea Chimentiformer singer – from 1983 to 1989 – of Moda, one of the leading Italian rock groups of those years together with Litfiba and Diaframma, before embarking on a solo career, in 1990. Accompanied by Cristiano Roversi and Francesco Cappiotti, he will propose songs from his beginnings to the most recent news, characterized by his tenth studio album, “Il Deserto La Notte Il Mare”, released last fall.

But the opening day of the festival will also see the ribbon cutting of the “Tavole Zen” exhibition, dedicated to the tables of Zen Comics Storiesfrom Luca Borriero, art director with a specialization in Web Designer. Always attracted by the world of comics and graphics, as well as by oriental disciplines and wisdom, combining these two passions he began to create the first Zen comics in the nineties, before arriving, in 2021, together with Sergio Peterlini who edited the texts, to his first comic book, “Storie Zen a Fumetti”, in fact, published by Edizioni Il Punto d’Incontro.

Luca Borriero will talk about this and more at the opening of the second evening of the festival, Friday 29 at 8:00 pm, in the company of a great expert in the “world of clouds” such as cartoonist and writer Bepi Vigna. Another commitment for Borriero to Not even the Gods, a laboratory free to be held on Friday 29 and Saturday 30, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Moderated by the journalist Simone Spiga, the second guest on Friday 29, the photojournalist, documentary maker and writer Giorgio Bianchipresents his essay, still fresh off the press, Rule with terror, published last April by Meltemi Editore, which deals with a topical issue such as media manipulation in the time of globalized information. In his photography Giorgio Bianchi has always paid attention to political and anthropological issues: his “Contemporary War Theaters” (2021) tells with words and images seven years of reportage between Donbass and Syria. Very active and followed on social networks, his reflections ignite the network, causing a sensation.

The didjeridoothe typical wind instrument of the Australian aboriginal peoples, is at the center of the concert-laboratory “Evolutionary harmonies”, last appointment in the lineup, at 22:00, for the second day of the festival. To keep it, Giampaolo Solaris (wellness operator, shiatsu and massage techniques teacher, works and researches in the integration of physical-energetic-spiritual techniques aimed at the growth of the Being), Ivano Naiely (deals with communication and mediation, the spiritual aspects of the multidimensional human being, shamanism and the construction of Medicine Drums in the shamanic way) and Patrician of the Kama (for some time I have been involved in spontaneous and ancestral music with the Didgeridoo or Iydaky of the Australian aborigines and in the research of knowledge and practice of music therapy not only with the didgeridoo and in the medical-meditative practice with harmonic singing and shamanic drums).

Psychologist and psychotherapist, creator of Homeosinergy (a philosophical and pedagogical approach to life and illness), Luigi Marcello Monsellato is the first guest of Saturday 30 (start at 8:00 pm). He recently signed (for Uno Editori) “Viruses. Sons of a lesser godin which he reflects on the experience of the pandemic, which highlighted a global deficit in the defenses not only of the individual but of the entire Earth, to make sense of it, and analyzes how, thanks to the viral disease, we have the possibility to detoxify , strengthen our immune system, and how disease hides an important message within itself.

Established blogger and passionate musician, Francesco Narmenni, at the center of the 21:00 appointment, until a few years ago he was a common employee. After having resigned and put into practice the suggestions contained in his books, he lives between Italy and the Canary Islands, cultivating his great passion for writing and music. His blog smetteredilavorare.it is a point of reference for all those who intend to change their life. After “Stop working”, “I give up everything and go abroad” and “Rich only by saving”, last year the publisher Il Punto d’Incontro published his new book, Becoming invisiblea “defense manual” from the exploitation of the personal information of the individual for commercial, political and control purposes.

Journalist, writer, editor and chief editor of Uno Editori, author of numerous successful essays published in Italy and France, Enrica Perucchietti opens at 7:00 pm the last night of the festival, Sunday 31 Julybringing the recent essay as a dowry Coronavirus. The invisible enemy (Uno Editori, 2021) of which she is co-author with Luca D’Auria: a journey through the transformations of our social sphere, thanks to an invisible enemy that in a few months has infected hundreds of countries, causing thousands of deaths and pushing the Organization World Health Organization to declare a state of global pandemic, transforming everyone’s life into a “virtual” reality.

Born in 1985, for years engaged in various areas of social interest, with particular attention to the issue of monetary sovereignty, Alessandro Trinca – moderated by the journalist Simone Spiga – instead presents his essay at 20:00A criminal deception called debt (Youcanprint, 2021) where it provides an alternative vision, in many opposite passages, to everything that is heard daily about money and debt: starting from the origins of money itself, it illustrates its different meanings and functions, and it shows how it is artificially manipulated in accounting, so as to hold up a house of cards that would collapse in an instant if people understood the deception.

Former army officer, doctor of law, lecturer, essayist (more than 250,000 copies of his books sold only in Italy), scientific researcher and screenwriter, counter-information expert (his blog for “politically incorrect news” Altrainformazione.it), Marco Pizzuti closes the festival, at 21:00, with his latest book, Deep State, published this year by Il Punto d’Incontro. The “deep state” would be a hybrid entity between public and private which guides the globalization process and which has its roots in the distant past. Born from the intertwining of the men of institutions, finance and industry, this “State within the State” according to Pizzuti has managed to redesign society “tailored to the banker”: a kingdom made up of multinationals, rating agencies, markets financial institutions, central banks and investment banks.
