SHE SCREAMS

“She screams” is a work on love: fragments of passion and pain, fragility and strength, sweetness and madness. The immense power of love that can be devastating or life-giving seen through a kaleidoscopic gestural portrait focused on three women accompanied by the rough, passionate, biting songs of Janis Joplin.

Concept and choreography: Raphael Bianco
Music: Songs by Janis Joplin – I need a man to love, Move over, Try, Little girl blue
Dancers: Elisa Bertoli, Carola Giarratano, Oksana Romaniuk,

EXTRACT from “LEONARDO DA VINCI – Spiritual Anatomies”

is the second stage of Raphael Bianco’s “ERGO SUM” Project for the EgriBiancoDanza Company: a project started with the show “ESSAIS: d’après Montaigne” in December 2018. “LEONARDO DA VINCI – Spiritual Anatomies” is dedicated to the genius of Leonardo da Win in the 500th anniversary of death.

A choreographic and choreological work where the solicited body is dissected between stillness and movement becomes the story of oneself and other than oneself without a real and concrete narration. Our body in its carnality and blood is directed by a mind and is enlivened by a heart. But if we reflect more deeply, what is our relationship with the areas of our body? Which ones would we like to hide? Which ones do we love? Which ones face the world and which ones come into the world hidden? Which areas of strength and arrogance and which of fragility in interpersonal relationships? An investigation into the body of the dancers, in a real dissection process. A choreographic path with esoteric perspectives, a mysterious ritual from which sometimes surreal, playful, comic, poetic and shocking truths emerge. A creative process, which unfolds between the sounds of nature (a dimension dear to Leonardo) and echoes of Renaissance music and which mainly draws inspiration from Leonardo’s anatomical drawings, which are not just an exercise in style but a profound investigation into life and its progressive extinction..

Concept and choreography: Raphael Bianco
Music: Alessandro Cortini
Sound design: Diego Mingolla
Dancers: Elisa Bertoli, Maela Boltri, Carola Giarratano, Oksana Romanyuk

THE UGLY DUCKLING | Atacama Company

Show for children, teenagers, adults

“What does it matter to be born in the duck yard when you come out of a swan’s egg?”

The show is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s Danish fairy tale The Ugly Duckling, which helps us to focus on the concept of diversity and acceptance of oneself and others, on overcoming fears and vulnerability, on the value inherent in every human being. regardless of the unfortunate context in which it may find itself. He tells us about the migration and the journey that the one who is marginalized, persecuted and decides to seek his own place in the world is forced to undertake. The story helps us to focus on the fact that being different can represent a richness and that through a process of transformation it can lead us to the fulfillment of our nature in all its beauty and originality.

The flight and the wandering of the ugly duckling are an example of the possible courage that pushes him not to abandon the search for himself, his own identity and his own place in the world.
