The regeneration project which also aims to combat the depopulation of the region was ideally launched by theArchbishop GianCarlo Bregantini, to foster and promote dialogue between the different realities by creating a real network. For the creators of the project, sharing is fundamental to spread the culture of accessibility as well as the involvement of all the actors of the territory is fundamental to generate attention to accessibility in a widespread manner and collaboration with different subjects is necessary so that, in all contexts of associated living, a “for all” culture matures and takes shape.

The goal is to give life to an aggregate local development project and network that engages processes of social innovation, cohesion and inclusion through the enhancement of the religious, cultural, environmental, tourist experiential heritage of the respective territorial areas aimed at building a welfare of all communities for the realization of the tourist destination ‘Ecomuseo del Matese – Terre di Spirituality’.

The Project aims above all to involve the entire community. In particular, we want to create a laboratory of local development, cohesion and inclusion capable of promoting the revitalization of the local economy: a path that proposes the Matese area as a great laboratory of social and cultural innovation of national and European importance. , a place for experimenting with methodologies, good practices and for combating abandonment and the recovery of internal areas that are added value and not negativity. The territory of Matese understood not only as a physical place, but as the set of cultures, relationships, actors who have lived and refer to it and its material and immaterial heritage. In particular, religious tourism and the strong spirituality that is intertwined with places, historic centers, rural districts, communities, people, productions. The project aims to connect all the territorial, civil and ecclesiastical realities, which intend to start a collaboration path on the construction of effective and sustainable networks for the conception, training and promotion of convivial tourism experiences. The construction of the network will allow all the actors involved to harmonize the objectives, to define a style and to adopt a shared language. To achieve the general and specific objectives, a participatory and developed local development plan is drawn up with the involvement of citizens, actors of transformation, which envisages the creation of a tourist destination mainly characterized by the theme of religious, spiritual and experiential tourism with a goal further ambitious: positioning itself as a complementary destination for travelers, pilgrims and tourists who will go to Rome for the 2025 Jubilee.
