Domestic violence can be mitigated by educating from the values

It is not a new topic…the recipes that are applied to attenuate these indicators are not new either. Domestic violence can be presented in a physical, psychological, sexual, economic and patrimonial way…

The question is what do we do with this? We continue from the State creating bureaucratic structures that involve enormous expenses, but that end up being late everywhere… The clearest example is the Women’s Council that they invented for former deputy Martínez… We return to the same thing, they create a institution that becomes a simple decoration but it is also another fixed expense that does not contribute to solving the problem…

You have just heard that instead of going down the rates of violence go up… and then? It is clear that this government does not have the capacity to solve the urgent…the cases continue, the stories continue and nothing, everything is the same as always…

Now what is important: Address the underlying issue, and it all has to do with education…

When I talk about education, I’m not referring to what Morales and Mrs. Bovi want to show you… for example, the re-launch of the connect equality program, which in reality I don’t know if it’s right or wrong… I mean that this is just the shell and here what needs to be discussed is the content of things…

It’s a matter of priorities…priorities have to be inverted… Why am I bringing this up? I try to find an answer as to why violence…

And the answer lies in the lack of values… that must be recovered from school… that is the only way I understand that we can get closer to the solution, I say get closer because I do not close the doors to other views that may exist on this scourge. But what we are convinced of is that the return to values is going to significantly attenuate the violent behavior of people…

Now I do not see this debate with high exposure or priority in the political discussion; We are with connecting equality, we are with the construction of new schools, but there is no debate on content, and if there is, it is to repeat the same recipe…

Excuse me, the current curriculum doesn’t work…for the times we live in, it doesn’t work…

Educating in values is essential so that our children and young people become adults with an active responsibility when it comes to building a better society… We go through a time with a thirst for peace, for social coexistence, and daily we hear about the crisis of values .

Faced with this, education in this matter is a central protagonist in the personal and ethical training of people. That is why it is urgent to go to a very deep rethinking… that is related to humanizing education. Educating in values is necessary to help us be better people individually, and better actors in the social spaces in which we develop…

There we can, as I say, contribute to attenuating the current rates of violence…

According to some authors who state that the formation of values can be approached based on four fundamental points: the person, human relations, reality and spirituality in which education itself must play a fundamental role.

We must understand that the new curriculum must propose that the teacher can lead students to develop their potential, under a moral and ethical dimension in the context of their social reality, and help them understand it so that they can assume responsibility for their actions, and can thus participate normally in community life…

This is the model… the serious question is whether politics has the dimension to understand that this may be the way… education in values should not be a filler or a complement, it should be a matter of state within schools …
