MAZATLAN. – If you thought that only in Los Angeles, California, there was a walk of fame with the stars of international artists, you are wrong, the “Pearl of the Pacific” also has its own and has personalities, which, to date, are icons in sports and music.

On Paseo Claussen, at the height of the monument to the Mazatleca Woman, there are more than 20 stars on the floor, arranged so that you can walk on them and be able to identify all the artists who have been recognized for their careers.

The recognitions go from 1997, with the star of Los Tigres del Norte; the conductor of the Orchestra, Enrique Patrón de Rueda, with his star from 1999 to 2015, with recognition for Pancho Barraza.

Who powered these stars?

In each one of them, one of the largest state broadcasting companies, Grupo Promomedios, appears, who began, through this type of recognition, to capture for the following generations the artists who at that time had Mazatlán and Sinaloa in their eye. of popularity for his talent.

Over time, the stars stopped being placed, but if you walk along Paseo Olas Altas, you will see monuments such as that of Salvador Lizárraga, founder of the Original Banda Limón; the composer, José Alfredo Jiménez and José Ángel Espinoza “Ferrusquilla”.

All of Olas Altas is a place for the exhibition of artists; towards the Paseo del Centenario, there is the monument of the composer Fernando Valadés; there is the actor Pedro Infante and if you look up a bit, you will be able to admire one of the most recent murals, where the muralist Sergio Ramírez immortalized “the greats of the band”.
