The appointments of the ninth edition of the Festival of the Word, the cultural festival that will animate the city of Chiavari until Sunday 5 June with meetings, words, music and presentations. The Festival is promoted by Municipality of Chiavari Tourism Departmentsupported by Liguria Region and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Rai, Metropolitan City of Genoa, Anci, University of Genoa, supported by Banca Carige.
The events of the third day of the Festival of the Word, Saturday 4th June 2022they are all related since theme of the ninth edition “Stubbornness”, a word that will be addressed from different perspectives and will be the leitmotif of the event. Along with the main meetings of the cultural review, the events of the DidaFestival and Extrafestival, that will animate the places of the city and, in particular, the historic shops.
The appointments of the Festival of the Word begin at 15 in the Salone di Palazzo Rocca with an event in collaboration with the Festival Crocefieschi Law “Books in the bay, Books in the village”. To follow, at 16 hoursat the San Francesco Auditorium, the presentation of three books on music is scheduled: “Tonight rock’n’roll”, written by Maurizio Solieri, guitarist of Vasco Rossi for over thirty years, “Lucio Dalla – images and stories of a life as deep as the sea” by the journalist and author Massimo Pogginialso co-author of “70 times Vasco”, written together with his journalist colleague Marco Pagliettini.
The program for Saturday 4 June continues at 16.30 at the Salone di Palazzo Rocca with a event dedicated to Ligurian publishers “Printed words”, in which Editrice Zona, Pentàgora, Other Voices Editions, Panesi Edizioni, La Tigulliana Editions participate. At 5 pm at the San Francesco Auditorium the presentation of the book “Fantozzi behind the scenes” by Elizabeth Village, director and daughter of the unforgettable Genoese actor. During the meeting, the author will give the public a pleasant memory of her father and her most loved character, in a dialogue with the journalist Renato Tortarolo.
Always at 5 pmin Piazza Nostra Signora dell’Orto, will come the film “Le mani in pasta” by Daniele Biacchessi was shown, with interventions by Marco Baruzzo from Beninrete and Tiziana Cattani from Coop Liguria. The journalist Alberto Bruzzone will moderate the meeting. The event created in collaboration with Libera Genova Nicholas Green.
The calendar of events of the Festival della Parola continues at 18.30to the Economic Society, with a meeting of the stubbornness & spirituality trend that will have as protagonist theImam Yahia Pallavicini. Moderating the conference Goffredo Feretto and Helena Molinari.
At 6.45 pmwe return to Piazza Nostra Signora dell’Orto for the presentation of the book “Come sinfonia” by the musician and composer of countless soundtracks Pino Donaggio and the essayist and film critic Anton Giulio Mancino. The meeting will be moderated by the journalist Renato Tortarolo.
The appointments of the third day of the Chiavari Festival della Parola close with a meeting with a great name on the Italian cinema scene: at 9.30 pm in Piazza Nostra Signora dell’Orto will be a guest Enrico Vanzina to present his book “Diary day”. A diary that tells about eleven years, enclosed by two major social crises, the economic one of 2011 and the one we are still experiencing and is linked to the pandemic. And in between: life, joys, pains, moments only apparently insignificant but in reality decisive, politics, books, cinema, of course, cinema, friends who meet or leave, meetings random, paths taken or lost. The journalist Emilio Targia moderated the meeting.
