Cannes 2022, Alessandro Borghi and Irene Forti, Luca Marinelli and Alissa Jung: discreet love

It doesn’t happen every day to see Luca Marinelli And Alessandro Borghi in public with their (very discreet) loves. To the Cannes Film Festival this also happened. The two actors, protagonists of the film in competition for the Palme d’Or The eight mountains, they arrived at the Croisette with their respective companions: Alessandro with the girlfriend Irene Forti, model and manager to whom he has been linked for about three yearsLuca with the wife, the German actress Alissa Jung. A truly rare double of couples, given the confidentiality of both actors on their respective matters of the heart. Alessandro di Irene almost never speaks. Because the two have decided to live their love away from the spotlight. But he last year, just in the days when he was shooting The eight mountainshad revealed that if he has started reading many books again it is thanks to Irene: “My girlfriend is the most cultured person I know, she devours four books a week: which made me feel ignorant, so I said ok, let’s catch up. And as it happens, the first book he recommended to me when we got together was The eight mountains“. Luca met his wife Alissa Jung in 2012on the set of the fiction Mary of Nazareth. The two live in Berlin with the children of her previous marriage. Marinelli made a shy hint of the happiness of his family in 2019, receiving the award for best actor in Venice with Martin Eden: «I would like to thank my wife and two wonderful children, who endure and support me in this crazy and wonderful job and who caress my soul with their presence and their smiles».

Now the two actors have told the world about their sentimental happiness by posing with the women of their life in Cannes (see gallery under). Where are the protagonists of the film The eight mountains. The film, directed by Felix van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch and based on the novel by Paolo Cognetti, winner of the Strega Prize, tells the indissoluble friendship, born in childhood, between Pietro, a boy from the city, and Bruno, the last child of a remote mountain village. A relationship that re-emerges when Pietro, now a man, returns to the mountains of his childhood to find himself and make peace with his past. Alessandro, 35, and Luca, 37, are also friends in real life. There is an “indelible relationship” between them born eight years ago on the set of Do not be naughty. Now the two actors are back to acting together. Together they hope to win the Palme d’Or and together they arrived, with the women who stole his heart, in Cannes.

Last stage, in chronological order, of their career full of things. Alessandro Borghi found himself on the set almost by chance: he had enrolled in Economics after high school. But in the meantime, taking advantage of his trained physique, he did it Stuntman in Cinecittà. Until an agent suggested that he do a casting for Police District. We’ve since seen him go platinum blonde for the series Suburrabecome toxic in Do not be naughtylong-haired and forced in Lucky by Sergio Castellitto, and reduced to skin and bones to interpret Stefano Cucchi in On my skin. The same Villages he jokes about his transformation: “I only have one woman left to interpret.” Luca Marinelli, Roman too but living in Berlin for lovewas the suffered Caesar in Do not be naughtythe crazy Gypsy, exhibitionist thug in They called him Jeeg Robot. To play Mattia in the Solitude of prime numbers gained 15 kilos (it took him three months to get them and only one to knock them down) and last year he wore the black jumpsuit of Diabolik directed by the Manetti Bros. Now Alessandro and Luca, considered the golden couple of Italian cinema, have landed in Cannes. And by celebrating a very special moment in their career, they have chosen to celebrate love as well.
