At the Chiavacci Center the 17th National Day for the Custody of Creation

Thursday 1 September starting at 5 pm, the 17th National Day for the Custody of Creation will be celebrated at the “Don Paolo Chiavacci” Center for Spirituality and Culture in Crespano di Pieve del Grappa. The theme will be “Listening to the cry of creation and the poor”. An important novelty will be the presentation of the project of a naturalistic botanical path for inclusive education.

This will be the first of four other events to enhance, with cultural initiatives and good practices, the month that Pope Francis has called “Time of Creation”.

On 1 September, the bishop of Treviso, Msgr. Michele Tomasi, the mayor of Pieve del Grappa Annalisa Rampin as well as president of the IPA (area programmatic agreements) Terre di Asolo and Monte Grappa, the director of the Chiavacci Center don Paolo Magoga, the director of Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana Francesco Benazzi, the head of Social Tourism of Ulss 2 Silvia Ceschel, the volunteers of the association “Incontri con la Natura don Paolo Chiavacci”, the Laudato Si ‘Communities of Treviso, Follina, Ponzano and Venice, Don Gianni Fazzini of the Laudato Si’ community of Venice, the Treviso Solidarity cooperative.

This is the program: at 5 pm, musical reception by Maestro Matteo Dal Negro and his colleague Giulia Sfoggia, at 5.15 pm greetings from the director of the Chiavacci Center, the mayor of Pieve del Grappa, the general director of Ulss 2 and the manager of the Social Tourism of the Ulss 2. At 6 pm, the intervention of the Bishop of Treviso, at 6.20 pm the cutting of the ribbon of the “Naturalistic botanical path project for inclusive education”. At 6.40 pm the Laudato Si ‘Communities talk about each other, at 7.40 pm the conclusion.

“The initiative – affirms Don Paolo Magoga – intends to build bridges with all those realities that are concerned with listening to the cry of the earth and of the poor, as Pope Francis taught us in his“ Laudato si ‘”. A wealth of connections, actors, values ​​that act and interact for the common good in concrete, visible and sustainable projects. The desire of Don Paolo Chiavacci, founder of this Center and of his mission, was that many could feel the embrace of the Earth, the sky, the trees and every creature that lives with us in this universe ”.

Monday 12 September, 8.30 pm at the municipal theater of Castelfranco Veneto in collaboration with the municipal administration of Castelfranco Veneto and the parish presentation of the book “Don Paolo Chiavacci Prophet of the environment” with Dino Boffo, Don Giovanni Scavezzon, Francesco Chiavacci Lago, Laura Bertollo and Umberto Folena.

Monday 19 September, at 8.30 pm at the Opera Monte Grappa di Fonte Vocational Training School, meeting on “Good Practices” with the “Gasolo” Association for Solidarity Purchase of Asolo and the “Libera nos in campo” association. Participants are Cristian Tonello, graduated in natural sciences, Chiara dal Bello, nutritionist and biologist. Another theme: “Work and the right price and salary” with speakers to be defined.

Monday 26 September, at 8.30 pm in the Collegio Pio X in Treviso, presentation of the message of the Bishops for the 17th Day of Creation entitled “He took the bread, gave thanks. All in the fragment ”with Bishop Michele Tomasi and journalist Dino Boffo.

Saturday 1 October, 6.00 pm at the parish church of Castelfranco Veneto S. Mass of thanksgiving. Previously, activity on the theme “A generative pastoral care of a correct relationship between man and environment”.
