«Conterranea – explains the Mayor Enrico Rossi – was born as a natural evolution of the path started in 2014 when we decided to reformulate the historic oil and olive market exhibition, giving it the guise of a real festival. The next objective, immediately clear, was to recreate, outside the walls of Cartoceto, other topical moments of promotion and enhancement of the Cartoceto PDO, through a format that would ennoble agri-food excellence, keeping its roots firmly in our territory. and at the same time increasing the awareness of it in the entire production area.

In this sense, Conterranea fits perfectly within the strategy that the Marche Region is developing: promoting and narrating a plural territory, enhancing its main assets and tourist clusters, through a joint action. As in our case, in which, starting from the Cartoceto DOP, a wealth that unites the territories of Cartoceto, Mombaroccio, Colli al Metauro and Fano, the immense heritage that these places boast and that can be declined in many tourist itineraries is told: food and wine, scientific-cultural, historical, naturalistic, spiritual.

The evening of Cartoceto starts from the spiritual path started in Mombaroccio at the Sanctuary of the Beato Sante and leads to another place of faith, the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Soccorso in Cartoceto.
